chronic_doll and mo_9 and I are chosen to represent our school in an Mindanao-wide Quiz Bowl. It was very sudden and training starts this Sunday. 3:00pm to 6:00pm. After we finished enrolling, we are going to be training everyday until November 27.

There is a lot of pressure. Our school has never lost in three years. I do not want to be one of the reasons that we lost. We have about two to three hundred years of Philippine Culture, Government, History and Geography to study.

We are going to be slow in all our RPs. AGAIN.

This is going to be fun still though. We might go to Dapitan! Mimi and I are excited to see Rizal's home during his exile. I am a semi-Rizalist and Mimi is a Rizalist, so for us this is really a great opportunity. We are excited about the trip but not the thousand trivia that we are about to learn.

Trivia:

~ Cebu is the oldest city in the Philippines.

~ Filipinos were taught English by the British in 1762.

We need to learn about a thousand more like this.

Out of Topic:

My sister wants me to get contact lenses. I am thinking of getting blue colored ones. She says I would be prettier without glasses.

I wanted to help help the people suffering because of Storm Ondoy and Typhoon Pepeng. I feel bad that I was only able to talk about it but not help at all.

I am unbelievably hurt.

I wanted to cry when I read this. Are people really that mean? Maybe I am naive, but I just don't want to believe it. I first found out about this from my sister. She showed it to me. I wanted to cry. Dana, I wanted to cry so much.

I am not going to get mad, but so many people died. People close to me lost their homes. People really think of us this way? I wasn't going to post until exams but if I didn't write I would be crying. A Korean blogger said this. One of my bestfriends is Korean. we haven't seen each other for a long time because of school but I care for her a lot. I am not going to rampage and hate all Koreans and Korea, but I have to admit that I am not very fond of the blogger who posted it.

Hundreds (possibly thousands) of Filipino "monkeys" died. Is that really fun? Here in our subdivision, a family by the river died because their home was washed away by the current. A young high school boy died at the sea. This is just in my area of the city. The city is small but who knows how many people died. These two incidents didn't even make the news. So who knows.

I am not going to get mad.

A heart of a Filipino is a heart that is compassionate. I will not change that for anyone or anything. Even a person who thinks it is fun to see my people drown.

Edit: Even a Filipino wants her people to die? I just don't know anymore.
